Olympus has introduced the SC30 colour camera for microscopy imaging. Suitable for use in both material and life science applications, the camera is designed to capture fast frame rates. This makes it an ideal introductory model for any applications.
With a native resolution of 2,048 x 1,532 pixels and multiple binning modes (2x, 3x, and 4x), the SC30 camera is able to achieve high levels of sensitivity and fast frame rates during live cell imaging. Using the 4x binning mode, 49fps can be captured at a resolution of 508 x 384 pixels. Furthermore, exposure times can be set from 57µs to 1.75s, enabling the user to be in complete control of the image acquisition process.
